Beat the clock

Here’s a great marketing idea from The Fountaine pub situated in the Yorkshire Dales (Linton).

When you arrive for an evening meal, the price of two courses is the same as the time on the clock:

  • £6.30 at 18:30
  • £7.00 at 19:00
  • £8.00 at 20:00

and so on.

What a brilliant way of getting customers in early.

Apparently Jack Cooke was racing to get the orders in – that’s Yorkshire men for you.

That’s an old idea Chris, The Conservatory Restaurant in Exeter did this when they first opened (prob 9 years ago now) especially to fill the ‘dead’ time of their evening – it packed all the business people in who felt like going straight from work and eating rather than going home or to the supermarket for the micro meal!! Brilliant idea and very innovative. Am not sure what the ‘dental’ version is or if its possible…………..? Ciao! Babs
