The end of print media?

I am a Luddite when it comes to books.

The chance to browse around the Falmouth Bookstore when Annie and I go bimbling on a Saturday afternoon.

The weight of a good hardback novel.

The smell of new pages opening.

The tactile relationship with a good book when you are curled up on the sofa on a rainy afternoon, in front of an open fire.

Bookshelves at home overflowing with memories of your escape into other worlds and lives.

How could a plastic box replace all of that?

The new Kindle DX from Amazon will surely replace the magazine and newspaper – I get that.

But the book?

Surely not?

 The end of print media?

agreed Chris, there is still something about a “real” book.

A bit like we though internet shopping would be the end of high street shops, its not the same experience.

What happens when your battery goes just as you’re getting to the final chapter?!
