Draft letter to potential Strategic Alliance partners – VIP client evening

Dear all

As you will be aware, for some months now we have been in discussion with regard to the establishment of a strategic marketing alliance between a select group of businesses in the area who share a common interest in lifestyle enhancement.

We are now ready to move to the next level and this letter is an invitation to take part in a VIP Client Evening, proposed for Monday 11th October 2010.

The concept will be for up to 6 businesses to take part (one per trade or profession) and to invite up to 10 of their existing clients to attend.

We envisage that the evening would commence at 18:30 with drinks and canapes and that at 19:00 the guests would enjoy a series of six 10-minute presentations by a representative of each sponsoring business.

The objective of the presentation would be to show how your products and services can enhance the well-being of the client.

At the end of the hour’s presentation there would be time for any questions and answers and we aim to close at 20:30.

There will be no “hard sell” and guests will simply be given contact details should they wish to receive further information from any of the sponsors.

Our vision is that the event would be repeated four times a year, with a different delegate list each time.

The benefit to you is a professional environment in which to showcase your services to 10 existing clients and up to 50 potential new contacts.

The costs of the event would be shared equally between the sponsors.

We have seen this formula work successfully for other professional service firms and we are excited about bringing the idea to this region.

At this stage we simply seek your willingness to proceed further.

We anticipate calling a brief meeting in the next few months to agree roles and responsibilities – we appreciate that you are already busy and will do our best to reduce the workload in organising this event to a minimum, including the provision of template invitation letters and other marketing material.
